SpaceX successfully lands its rocket on a floating drone ship for the first time
SpaceX has finally landed its Falcon 9 rocket on a drone ship at sea, after launching the vehicle into space this afternoon. It's the first time the company has been able to pull off an ocean landing, after four previous attempts ended in failure. Today's success is a crucial milestone for SpaceX, as it shows the company can land its rockets both on solid ground and ocean.
This is the second time SpaceX has successfully landed one of its rockets post-launch; the first time was in December, when the company's Falcon 9 rocket touched down at a ground-based landing site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, after putting a satellite into space. Now that SpaceX has demonstrated it can do both types of landings, the company can potentially recover and reuse even more rockets in the future. And that could mean much greater cost savings for SpaceX.
Mastering the ocean landing is going to be important, since that’s the type of landing SpaceX will probably conduct more often. At a recent NASA press conference, Hans Koenigsmann, vice president of mission assurance for SpaceX, said the next two to three flights will involve drone ship landings. Ultimately, the company expects to land one-third of its rockets on land, and the rest at sea.
Why does SpaceX keep focusing on these ocean landings? A drone ship floating on the ocean is a harder target to hit than a large expanse of ground, since it is smaller and floating on moving water. Plus, all of SpaceX's ocean landing attempts have resulted in therocket exploding. Still, landing at sea can be less tricky than ground landings, and the main reason has to do with fuel. To return back to Earth, the Falcon 9 has to use the fuel leftover from takeoff to reignite its engines in a series of burns. These burns help to adjust the rocket's speed and reorient the vehicle into the right position for entering Earth's atmosphere and then landing.
Different types of landing techniques require different amounts of fuel, though, and that revolves around how the Falcon 9 launches. The rocket doesn't travel straight upward into space but follows a parabolic arc up and away from the launch pad. Because of this, the rocket has to go through a lot to conduct a ground landing. The vehicle has to slow down in the direction it's heading, completely turn around, and then retread the vertical and horizontal distance it's covered to get back to the landing site. That requires a lot of extra fuel.
Ocean landings aren't as complicated as that. SpaceX's drone ship can position itself in an ideal place to "catch" the vehicle on its more natural path back to Earth. That decreases the distance the rocket needs to travel, as well as the amount of fuel needed to maneuver the Falcon 9 for landing.
For SpaceX missions that use up lots of fuel, performing a ground landing may not even be possible. Rockets that launch heavy payloads or go to a high orbit need extra speed during the initial ascent, and extra speed needs more fuel. Those Falcon 9s that have to reach extra high velocities don't have as much fuel leftover for the landing. That’s when the drone ship is the best — if not only — option for recovery.
The whole point of landing these rockets is to help save SpaceX money on launch costs. Right now, most rockets are destroyed or lost after they launch into space, meaning entirely new rockets must be built for each mission. SpaceX hopes to recover as many rockets as possible to cut down on cost of creating new vehicles. The Falcon 9 costs $60 million to make and only $200,000 to fuel. If a recovered rocket doesn't need too much updating and refurbishment between launches, reusability could eliminate a good chunk of that manufacturing cost. SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell expects reusable rockets to bring down launch costs by about 30 percent, according to Space News. That would make the company's vehicles an even cheaper option for clients than it already is.

15 Russian Ka-52 “Alligator” helicopters landed in Syrian Battle ground
A fresh batch of Russian Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopters have reportedly arrived to the Humaymim Military Airfields in Jableh, Latakia this morning.
These Russian manufactured choppers are highly regarded for their durability and effectiveness during reconnaissance missions.
The Ka-52 is billed as an armed reconnaissance and combat platform able to take on the roles of assault, Close-Air Support (CAS), convoy protection, and armed patrolling. The helicopter maintains its weaponry under its short wingstub assemblies which allow for four underwing hardpoints. Onboard countermeasures, including signature reduction features, chaff/flare dispensers, and crew/critical systems armoring enhances battlefield survivability.
The Alligator features the Kamov helicopter trademark coaxial main rotors arrangement (2 x three-bladed systems) which eliminate the need for a countering tail rotor unit (this also increased battlefield survivability to an extent). These main rotors are driven by 2 x Klimov VK-2500 series turboshaft engines which support "hot-and-high" operations as well as cold weather service. Performance includes a maximum speed of 300 kmh with a cruising speed nearing 260 kmh. Ferry range is 1,100 kilometers with a combat radius of about 460 kilometers. Its operational service ceiling reaches 5,500 meters.
The Ka-52 carries a 30mm 2A42-1 cannon along the starboard side of its fuselage. There is limited traversal given which requires the pilots to position the entire aircraft in the direction of fire but overall accuracy is said to be better than that of a turreted chin gun seen in other modern attack helicopters. Beyond this standard installation, the wingstubs of the helicopter support Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), rockets, rocket pods, gun pods, and cannon pods as required.
To date, the Ka-52 has only been adopted by the Russian Air Force with possible plans to feature it in the Russian Navy as well dependent upon successful procurement of a new amphibious warship / helicopter carrier. The Air Force is planning on a Ka-52 stock of 140 helicopters with the Navy adding a possible 40 more units.

Must Know About It: Newest #Russian-made man-portable air Defence missile system (MANPADS)
Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, begins active promotion to the international market of the newest Russian-made man-portable air defence missile system (MANPADS) “Verba” designed and manufactured by the KBM Scientific Production Concern, a subsidiary of JSC High Precision Systems Scientific Production Association.
At present the Verba MANPADS is entering into service with the Russian Army, and its first appearance abroad will take place at the “DEFEXPO India – 2016” major international land and naval systems exhibition to be held in South Goa, India, from 28 to 31 March 2016.
“Traditionally Russia is ranked among world’s leading manufacturers of air defence weapons including man-portable missile systems (MANPADS). We are confident that the Verba will provoke interest of Indian militaries and our partners in South East Asia and other regions. It is the best weapon system in its class among offered today in the international arms market, judging by the combination of its tactical and technical characteristics and realisation of unique technical solutions.
It should be noted here that the demand for the Igla-S MANPADS, which is a predecessor to the Verba, is expected to remain at the same level since it satisfies the requirements of armies in many countries,” stressed Sergei Goreslavsky, deputy director general of JSC Rosoboronexport.
Verba MANPADS: tactical and technical characteristics
Anti-air combat performance of the Verba MANPADS has been significantly improved by introducing a new highly sensitive tri-band optical homer into the 9M336 missile as well as new instruments and a unique warhead featuring an adaptive contact / proximity fuze and increased-weight explosive.
These measures have provided the following improvements:
-- Enhanced capability of engaging small-size targets with low thermal signatures, first of all such as cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles;
-- Enhanced jamming immunity to contemporary high-power pyrotechnical jamming devices;
-- Enhanced combat effectiveness against modern air strike weapons thanks to more powerful missile warhead and high-precision guidance system.
Low-weight highly automated combat assets of the MANPADS enable its operator to engage air targets flying within the following parameter envelope:
-- altitude - 10 m to 3,500 m;
-- range - 500 m to 6,000 m;
-- airspeed - up to 400 m/s (approaching), or up to 320 m/s (receding);
-- manoeuvring loads - up to +8 g.
The organic 1PN97N Maugli-2M night vision sight allows target acquisition round the clock and target engagement at a far-off boundary of the kill envelope.
The Verba MANPADS can be also mounted on various land, maritime and airborne platforms.
Joint employment of the 9M336 missiles of the Verba MANPADS, combat control set of equipment and launch modules makes it possible to build on their basis light-weight mobile close-in air defence missile systems, or to include these assets into existing air defence missile and artillery systems. Optional deployment of the MANPADS combat assets on various carriers allows salvo launching of missiles, which enhances target kill probability by 1.5 times.

[Graphics] Videos Show that public beheading in Saudi Arabia :Why Saudi Arabia is barbaric country??
Sorry but your premise is wrong. Beheading is not why anyone considers Saudi Arabia to be a barbaric country. There are so many reasons to consider Saudi Arabia a barbaric country I hardly know where to start. But I'll give it a shot:
- They execute women for witchcraft.
- They execute women and men for adultery.
- Every single one of the 9-11 terrorists were Saudi nationals.
- They practice a medieval and violent form of Islam called Wahabism.
- They expend hundreds of millions of dollars to export their violent form of Islam worldwide.
- They whip women publicly for the crime of being rape.
- They are so hateful and xenophobic that if you are not Moslem, you literally cannot set foot in many areas of Saudi Arabia.
- They are ignorant, and have no world class universities. If they need someone to do coding or mechanical engineering they have to contract those people from outside the country.
- In 2002 Al-Riyadh, the main newspaper in Saudi Arabia, published an article by a prominent surgeon claiming that Jews use non Jewish blood in Purim pastries: Blood Feast
- Women in Saudi Arabia can be incarcerated for driving a car.
- They have religious police that follow all the citizens around and can impose corporal punishment for a man and a woman standing too close to each other for example.
- Female genital mutilation is common in Saudi Arabia: Prevalence of female genital mutilation by country
There are many more reasons to consider the Saudis barbarians, and I have only touched on the most glaring and obvious points.
Trust me, beheading is the least of the reasons to consider them barbarians.

Massacre committed by the Saudi aggression against civilians( Graphics Video)
More than 40 civilians have been killed in a Yemen market by Saudi-led coalition warplanes, officials have said.
According to news agency AFP, an official at a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said the facility had received the bodies of 41 people killed in the raids, along with 35 people who were wounded.
A health official said the casualties were civilians and included children, adding that "the toll could rise".
"The scene was terrifying," Showei Hamoud told Associated Press by phone from Mastaba. "Blood and body parts everywhere." Many of the dead are children who work stalls or carry goods in return for tips, he said.
