IPKAT POST; CATCH US IF YOU CAN!!; INTA ADR COMP

IPKat post

By the end of June the IPKat's mailing list of readers who get each blog when it's posted had risen to 483 - an increase of 22 over the total for the previous month and one of the Kat's largest monthly rises. If you're not yet on the circulation list, click here and tell the IPKat: he'll add you on in a jiffy.

Catch us if you can !!

The IPKat has learned today of an Italian intellectual property blog, Catch us if you can!!, which is masterminded by lawyer, author and lover of life Stefano Sandri (remember when Stefano ran a Board of Appeal at OHIM in Alicante?). Blogmeister is the cool-looking Lorenzo Litta.

The IPKat wishes his Italian cousins the best of luck and hopes their very colourful blog will go from strength to strength.

INTA ADR competition

The IPKat's attention has been drawn by Alice Gould (Wedlake Bell, solicitors) to an online competition that the International Trademark Association is running for European Union law students on alternative dispute resolution.

Right: less orthodox forms of dispute resolution are discouraged.

This online competition is designed to increase the student’s use and understanding of ADR. Law students representing schools throughout the EU will exercise their negotiation, mediation and advocacy skills to resolve hypothetical trade mark law disputes. Prizes will be awarded to the most effective advocate teams and the most effective mediator, based on evaluations by distinguished professionals from INTA’s ADR Committee.
