MADONNA SAYS NOT TODAY

Hip Hop Galaxy reports that Dr Dre, Mary J Blige and Eve are being sued for copyright infringement by Madonna’s music publishers. The publishers claim that Not Today is similar in pitch and rhythm to Madonna’s track Holiday.

The IPKat notes that judging infringement in music cases is rather tricky. He also adds that writers can be subconsciously influenced by previous songs that they have heard, but the fact that they were not aware of their copying is no defence.
