Principality signs up for WIPO treaties; Fakes never fashion

The Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein its tipped the IPKat off about its deposit of an instrument of accession to the WIPO Copyright Treaty. This Treaty comes into force in Liechtenstein on 30 April 2007. Funnily enough, the Principality has decided to throw caution to the winds and bring the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty into force on exactly the same day.

Facts and figures from the IPKat: the estimated population of Liechtenstein is 34,000. Worryingly, 34,000 is also the number of UK passports 'lost' by British government agencies. Is there some connection? Merpel adds, it's also roughly the number of stories held on the Harry Potter fan site.
