The Sultanate of Oman has suddenly got really excited about intellectual property. On 16 October 2007 it will be a fully-functional member of the
Madrid Protocol on international trade mark applications, the
Patent Law Treaty, the
Trademark Law Treaty and the
Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure.
