Order confirms starting date for new UK company name provisions
Made on 17 December and laid before Parliament on the same date, the Companies Act 2006 (Commencement No.5, Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order 2007 (SI 2007/3495) will bring many provisions of the Companies Act 2006 into force on various dates this year. Says the IPKat, IP enthusiasts will be excited that the Order confirms that Sections 69 to 74 of the 2006 Act (dealing with objections to company names) and sections 82 to 85 (trading disclosures) take effect on 1 October 2008, .
