UCL Institute of Brand and Innovation Law launch seminar

UCL's newly formed Institute of Brand and Innovation Law (IBIL for short), under the stewardship of Professor Sir Hugh Laddie QC, is holding a launch seminar on 3 June, 3.30-6.30pm.

The event focuses on the latest developments in UK and European patent, trade mark and copyright law. Lord Neuberger is in the chair. Speakers are:
  • Geoffrey Hobbs QC (One Essex Court) on O2 and comparative advertising
  • Robin Stout (Head of EU Policy, UKIPO) on the prospects for the Community patent and the EPLA
  • Lord Justice Jacob on second use patent claims
  • Dr Tilman Lueder (Head of Copyright, DG Internal Market) on copyright harmonisation
The event is free and followed by a drinks reception. There are 2.5 CPD hours up for grabs.
