Busted!
Following the IPKat's earlier posting, two ex-members of defunct popular beat combo "Busted" have, according to reports originating from the British Broadcasting Corporation, lost their case at the High Court relating to royalty payments they had claimed were due to them.
Ki McPhail and Owen Doyle claimed that they wrote certain songs with James Bourne and Matt Willis before they were ejected from the group in October 2001. The judge, Mr Justice Morgan, did not however view their claims as being well founded, stating that the claimants had "convinced himself that his reconstructed version of events really happened" and that Doyle "was not a reliable witness either".
It remains to be see whether McPhail and Doyle will appeal.
Update (11 June): The judgment is now available online here.
