So what do Tristan da Cunha and Tunisia have in common?
What do Tristan da Cunha and Tunisia have in common? They are the only two countries that come between Trinidad & Tobago and Turkey in the alphabet. And what does Turkey have in common with Trinidad & Tobago? The answer is that both have taken steps to increase their level of commitment to international norms of copyright law. Turkey has acceded to the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT No. 69) and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT No. 71), both of which take effect for Turkey on 28 November 2008. By pure coincidence, Trinidad & Tobago likewise has acceded to the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT No. 70) and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT No. 72) -- with effect from exactly the same date.
