On Wednesday it looked as though it might be the end of the world for iTunes (see IPKat post
here). Now it seems as though the love-it-or-loathe-it digitally managed music shop is destined to plough its previous and apparently profitable furrow for the next five years, following a decision of the Copyright Royalty Board in the US (reported in the Guardian
here) to freeze per-track payments to songwriters at 9.1 percent.
