iTunes reprieve - or is it just a rumour?
On Wednesday it looked as though it might be the end of the world for iTunes (see IPKat post here). Now it seems as though the love-it-or-loathe-it digitally managed music shop is destined to plough its previous and apparently profitable furrow for the next five years, following a decision of the Copyright Royalty Board in the US (reported in the Guardian here) to freeze per-track payments to songwriters at 9.1 percent.

The decision will not be made public until Monday, which leaves the IPKat wondering why it was leaked to anyone else before him ...
