Reliability and Performance Monitor
Happy Halloween computer geeks! Today we are going to discuss one of my favorite windows features. The Reliability and Performance monitor. To get to this, go to Run (you can search for it with Vista if you are having trouble finding it. The Vista integrated search is fast and easy ^_^) Once you get to the run menu, type out "perfmon" and strike enter. This brings up the Reliabilty and Performance Monitor screen, and shows you a huge list of valuable information. From here you can see network speeds, hard disk speeds, RAM and even buss speeds. My favorite part about this program is, you can right click on the bottom, near all the counter icons, and add anything else you want to monitor. You can even monitor bandwidth, just by right clicking, and selecting add counter. This tool is fantastic for truly getting to know your own system. Go try it out!!
