XMMS packages for Debian and Ubuntu + XMMS Skins


XMMS is a legacy GTK+1 music player modeled after Winamp.


[o] How to install XMMS

Add the relevant two lines below to /etc/apt/sources.list
open console/terminal and run aptitude update && aptitude install xmms

To open XMMS player, press ALT+F2 and type XMMS


[o] How to install XMMS skins

You can download skins here http://gnome-look.org
Extract the skin packages and paste it here /usr/share/xmms/Skins
If there is no Skins directory, you have to create it first
To change skin in XMMS just press ALT+S and choose your skin
