HP contributes to Fashion industry
Moving into fusing technology with fashion, HP has introduced digital prints on clothes. HP, in association with WLC College India, organized a fashion show CHIMERA 2010 presenting a range of digitally printed apparels designed by the graduating students of the College. Digitally printed clothes, bags, shoes and accessories were printed on HP Latex L65500 printer.
HP's latex printing technology is cost effective, fast speed and totally eco-friendly. Chinmudra communications, a Pune-based designing company took the initiative for printing these fabrics and accessories, from bags to shoes for the models to flaunt at the show on the HP L65500 printer.
"Digital printing has not been with us for long but the growth in demand for all manner of digital print content is burgeoning, though, and will be ten times the 2010 figure in 2012 and HP is driving this paradigm shift in India. By coming together with WLC College to host this platform and showcasing our unique printing solutions, we believe that the fashion industry will see the many advantages and opportunities to explore in their designs," said Paresh Shetty, Country Business Manager - Signage, HP IPG India
This has widely opened new avenues in the fashion industry providing broader opportunities for the fashion designers to experiment beyond the traditional methods of designing and explore more that can be done on apparels using HP’s latex printing technology.
