Dive into a Future of Gadgets and Gizmos!
The rapid transition that is taking place in the world of technology is fast revolutionizing and changing the world that we are living in. Gone are those days when people used to go gaga over a particular technology. Now is the age where people just don't stick themselves to a single technology and go craving for more in pursuit of newer innovations and better technologies.
2011 is predicted to give rise to a handful of new technologies, powering modern gadgets and devices. It is going to be a year when older technologies will make way for the newer ones and this will be made possible by the recent innovations and breakthrough.
The tryst with cloud has been a success for quite some time. It is time now to simplify it further. An OS in the cloud is what everyone is eyeing at this year. Google's Chrome promises users an instant access to the web, emails and social networking that they use. It aims at freeing them of desktops, enabling them to access their data from anywhere where Internet connection is available. Devices powered by Chrome OS are believed to hit the market by the second half of 2011.
With Next Generation processors based on ARM's Cortex A9 already taking the fancy of chipset makers, 2011 is the time when smartphones with dual core processors would be seen flooding the markets. The new chips like Tegra 2 from Nvidia are likely to give impressive performance a boost, bringing capabilities like photo editing, gaming and overall fast performance to smartphones.
Currently, all laptops and computers are powered by a CPU and a GPU, but this will not be the same in 2011. APU is fast replacing CPU and GPU, based on Intel's Sandy Bridge or AMD's Ontario. APUs are expected to fundamentally change laptops by including more features and performance in thin, light and cheap devices.
