Cloud Failure / Real Time Reporting
Welcome back LockBoxx readers. We are truly in a new generation, of both commercial services and independent news. This weekend Google 'accidentally' wiped over 150,000 gmail accounts.
Everything from stored e-mails to important attachments. The articles detailing the information were just released today, and have echoed around the Internet. This just goes to show that cloud services are not as reliable as everyone banked on. So if you do rely 100% on the cloud, maybe you should consider some local backups, and regain information control. Regardless of what cloud lessons we learn, I also find it interesting that so many independent news sources have reported on this in such a timely fashion. The mass response and coverage on such a relatively small story is incredible; this is a whole new age of information, people!
