Dell unveils Storage Solutions Strategy for India
Dell has unveiled its comprehensive storage portfolio, expanding existing solutions with the recent global acquisitions to give customers the choice to build an integrated storage infrastructure using different technologies such as fibre or iSCSI to meet their needs in the virtual era. Reiterating this storage focus, Dell has also announced the India availability of solutions from its recent acquisition of Compellent Technologies, Inc.
Compellent's Fluid Data technology combines a powerful data movement engine, intelligent software and modular hardware that can help cut costs up to 80 percent. The acquisition of Compellent complements Dell's strategic acquisitions of EqualLogic, Scalent, Ocarina and Exanet by extending Dell's key intelligent infrastructure tenants of automation, optimization, scalability and virtualization.
