GnackTrack- Penetration Testing Distro
Linux has changed the world of operating system, there are so many distribution available of Linux for different purposes, as discussed before about best Linux distribution of penetration testing/hacking.
There are so many different distro are available too that we have not discussed on the previous article like Backbox, this article will also talk about a penetration distribution.
GnackTrack is an open and free project to merge penetration testing tools and the linux Gnome desktop. GnackTrack is a Live (and installable) Linux distribution designed for Penetration Testing and is based on Ubuntu.
Backtrack is not only a single player in the field of ethical hacking, so you can try some other distribution as well, if you are Gnome lover than must try this, however backtrack 5 is also available on Gnome platform.
Just like backtrack, Gnacktrack comes with multiple tools that are really helpful to do a effective penetration testing, it has Metasploit, armitage, wa3f and others wonderful tools.
The latest version of Gnacktrack is 6 that is available to download free of cost, this release has now better support for wireless cards thanks to a recent patch by Ethan Dotson.
