Samsung fetches localized solutions for Indian market
Samsung is focusing on research and development in India and is planning to bring localised solutions for the Indian market. According to market buzz, Samsung aims to tap growing demand for smartphones and tablets with the roll out of 3G services. The launch of 3G services gives India R&D a good opportunity to provide differentiated solutions on smartphones and tablets.
"The India R&D has a strategic role to play as we move towards enhancing our software workforce and competence. As the Indian market grows, the India R&D is developing localised solutions customised for the Indian market. the Bengaluru R&D centre has designed solutions for local mobile market that include the Mobile Tracker, Religious Apps, J2ME App Store, T9 Hinglish prediction among others," J S Shin, President & CEO, Samsung South West Asia said.
Samsung's R&D centre at Bengaluru has the largest software workforce next to Korea. Samsung India Software Center at Noida has developed digital signage and edutainment solutions for large format displays and video walls, customised for Indian market.
