Mobile apps platform Baidu Yi rolled

Baidu Inc has rolled out its new mobile application system- Baidu Yi.

The platform, based on Google's Android mobile operating system, will include applications such as maps and an online store. The application will also be built for Baidu's website. Baidu has also unveiled a new homepage design with added features like an area for app downloads as well.

Baidu has been expanding into e-commerce, online video and online travel to boost growth.
