SAP hosts a Boot Camp
SAP Labs, Bangalore has hosted a 3-day boot camp from 20-22 September, 2011 to reward its top 10% global performers. 53 Globalization Services top talents from 10 countries across the globe congregated on a single platform in Bangalore to network, share ideas and best practices and bring about seeding of some of the innovation at the first Globalization Boot Camp. They were also mentored by a mix of global leaders from diverse locations.
The attendees were high performers from different SAP Labs across Europe, Asia and the Americas, who were given opportunities to present on various topics of choice to the GS leadership team, experience cultural and intellectual diversity through a "Diversity Evening"and take part in local CSR programmes.
Some of the topics covered during the camp were "Global & Intercultural Intelligence", "Technology and Innovation Intelligence"and "Operating Intelligence". A theatre workshop on Diversity was organized along with talks on "Leadership Potential" by an IIMB Professor, and "Customers' View on the Benefits of SAP Implementation and Challenges". The Diversity Evening which was hosted on the first day of the camp had the participants dressed in ethnic attire and present native artifacts and dance performances. The participants also had the opportunity to visit two government schools and an old age home as part of CSR programmes.
