HID Global's iCLASS SE Platform selected as Finalist for 2011 SESAME Award
HID Global has announced its iCLASS SIO technology-enabled (SE) platform has been selected as a finalist in the CARTES 2011 SESAME award competition. The platform is based on the company's new Secure Identity Object (SIO) model and introduces technology-independent digital credentials that can be deployed for use on smart phones, microprocessor-based cards, contactless smart cards and related devices.
Based on 317 submissions received from leading manufacturers, integrators and developers in the card industry worldwide, the company's iCLASS SE platform has been recognized as one of only three finalists in both the Identification/ID Card and Trusted Internet/Authentication SESAME award categories.
Anthony Ball, Sr. Vice President, Identity Access Management, HID Global said, "By enabling Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled mobile phones and other devices to carry digital credentials, iCLASS SE transforms how secure identity is delivered and managed while also providing an unprecedented increase in system security. HID Global is very proud that iCLASS SE has been recognized for its world-class technological innovation in the SESAME award competition."
The awards will be presented on November 14 at the SESAME awards ceremony in Paris, France and HID Global will be demonstrating its iCLASS SE platform at CARTES & Identification 2011, November 15-17 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
