Nikon India showcases Its Products @CEIF & Photofair 2012

Nikon India has showcased its product lineup and technological advancements at India's photography exhibition - The CEIF & Photofair 2012. The exhibition is being held at the Exhibition Grounds (Goregoan East), Mumbai till January 8, 2012.

The Nikon India Zone covering over 400 sq. m. was inaugurated by Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Sajjan Kumar, General Manager - Imaging; Jitender Chugh, Deputy General Manager (Sales & Marketing), Nikon India, and other senior members from Nikon India were also present during the occasion.

Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India, said, "We are very excited to be a part of India's largest photography exhibition as it gives us an opportunity to showcase our latest in technology innovation to amateur and professional photography audiences. Nikon India has seen exponential growth in 2011 and our revenues have increased substantially and we plan to keep the momentum going in 2012."

During this exhibition, the star highlight is said to be Nikon 1. The Nikon V1 features 1.4 million dot high-resolution EVF that automatically activates when users raise the camera to their eye. In addition to the high-speed electronic shutter, the magnesium alloy body conceals a high- performance mechanical shutter that affords tactile feedback and expanded shooting options. The V1 camera also features Multi-Accessory Port for attaching SB-N5 compact speedlight, or the GP-N100 GPS module. Nikon India is planning to launch this new category of Nikon 1 in March 2012.

The other zones that Nikon will be focussing on are D-SLR Zone, COOLPIX Zone and Nikon School Zone. Nikon also exhibited NIKKOR lenses, accessories and their legendary F-mount. In the beginning of October 2011, the total global production of NIKKOR interchangeable lenses for Nikon SLR cameras reached a staggering sixty-five million.
