ISACA issues COBIT 5 Governance Framework
ISACA has released COBIT 5, the business framework for the governance and management of enterprise IT. The new version of COBIT promotes continuity between an enterprise's IT department and its overall business goals, and represents a major evolution of the globally accepted framework in use at enterprises worldwide for more than 15 years.
Furthermore, COBIT 5 provides globally accepted principles, practices, analytical tools and models designed to help business and IT leaders maximize trust in, and value from, their enterprise's information and technology assets. To date, more than 16,000 professionals have preregistered to receive a copy.
"COBIT is the recognized framework globally for IT Governance and has been adopted by various organizations. In India, COBIT has been recognized by the Reserve Bank, SEBI and C&AG. By bringing the COBIT Process Assessment Model and other related documents, ISACA is helping organizations gauge independently their adherence to the international best practices. Indian enterprises would benefit immensely from this release," said Niraj Kapasi, CISA, FCA, International VP, ISACA and Chairman, ISACA India Task Force.
