Maryland Science Center Kids Room
If you are visiting the Maryland Science Center with your children, then don't forget to stop by the Kids Room! This area is designed just for children age eight years old and younger to play and learn all at once! Here is a little information on the Maryland Science Center Kids Room.
The Kids Room can be found in the Maryland Science Center. The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Friday it is open from 10:00am until 6:00pm. Saturday it is open from 10:00am until 5:00pm. On Sunday it is open from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Entrance into the Kids Room is free with the paid admission into the Maryland Science Center. The admission prices will vary per ages, groups, and the exhibits you choose.
There are quite a few activities and exhibits for children to check out in the Kids Room. Children can discover by turning knobs, pushing buttons, and climbing steps. There are building blocks and Legos for children to play with. There is a large water play area where children can build dams and waterways. They can also discover more about the sea and play pretend with a fishing pier, tugboat helm, and more. In addition, children will even be able to meet famous people who live in Baltimore!
If you have children ages two and under, then you do not need to worry about their safety in the Kids Room. The Kids Room offers the Room To Grow area, which is designed just for babies and toddlers! This area is complete with soft blocks and squishy beds. Your little one will be able to play, learn, and move around with ease in the Room To Grow area!
There are a few events and activities that take place in the Maryland Science Center Kids Room. One event is "Preschool Time". This event offers music, stories, and science related activities for preschool children. The "Discovery Tots" event is designed more for babies and toddlers, along with their parents. This event offers a few fun stations to that will help to develop and enhance their skills. If you have a baby age 12 months and under, then you may enjoy the "Infant Wonders" event. This event will help to stimulate babies and develop their skills. It includes books and stories, rhymes, and music. Other events include movement, exploring, arts and crafts, health, and other fun science related themes!
The Kids Room in The Maryland Science Center will allow children to learn through play. As they play with water, blocks, buttons, and knobs, they will be able to explore and discover new things. The fun will encourage them to want to learn more. In addition, they will also develop and enhance their various skills.
