Cypress releases extension to its PSoC Creator IDE

Cypress Semiconductor has released an extension to its PSoC Creator Integrated Design Environment (IDE) for the PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 programmable system-on-chip families.

The update is believed to include new functions for power monitoring and fan control. Customers can drag and drop these functions into the existing PSoC devices to realise new capabilities within their designs. These new components enable hardware-based solutions for the telecommunications, server and storage markets where reliability is critical.

Jim Davis, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Cypress said, “With the graphical interface in PSoC Creator, customers can customise a power monitoring and thermal management design that meets their system requirements all in one integrated device.”
