Starting an Internet marketing based business is not easy, mainly because you'll have to make yourself knowledgeable about search engine optimization. Some Internet marketers do not believe that submitting to website directories packs as much of a punch as it used to. But you need to the find the tools that put your link in the right directories.

I have separated directories into 3 defined categories:

1. Directories That Provide Sustainable Links. These are directories that will continue to pass link juice for the foreseeable future.

2. Directories That Pass Link Juice that May Not Be Sustainable. These are directories where link juice is probably not going to be passed in the long term.

3. Directories That Do Not Pass Link Juice. These are the directories that have already been flagged by the search engines. They do not pass any value. In fact, submission to a large number of them could be seen spam.

In order to determine if the directory submission tool your review is submitting to the proper directories seek out reviews of the software from other internet marketers. One of the great things about this form of business is that there is always someone willing to recommend or warn you off of a product or service. Another method is to ask the product creator, any that are worth purchasing from will be willing to answer your questions, and if they dont more than likely their post sales customer service wont be any good as well so move on to the next one.

Submitting to a lot of the first two different directories I have listed can provide valuable back links and help your website to get ranked and indexed quite quickly. When you're able to add software to the mix that automates the process, it makes sense to take advantage of those website directories. Especially when you are going for low competition keywords, it may take only a few back links to crush the competition. Any serious home Internet marketing based business shouldn't be without directory submission software.
