As part of its strategy, Canon's OIS division aims to increase its market share to almost 29% in 2013 from 25%. The division will focus more on the SME, Pharmaceutical, BFSI, Automobile, Logistics sectors as they are poised to increasingly embrace MDS to help their growing business. Canon's OIS division will identify these organizations’ document management needs and provide customized, holistic solutions to optimize efficiency and cost reduction.

Canon's OIS division focusses on offering unparalleled document management solutions to the large enterprise, SME and government sectors. The division witnessed a year-on-year growth of 22% in 2012. Canon’s managed document services (MDS) represent approximately 25% of the OIS division’s business returns.
