Linux 3.8 released

Linus Torvalds released Linux 3.8, it is code named Unicycling Gorilla. It has various improvements in FileSystem, Drivers, Security, Virtualization, Graphics and Networking. 

1. F2FS - A SSD friendly file system, optimized for flash memory storage.
2. Minor improvements and improved performance in ext4, XFS, GFS2, Btrfs filesystem.
3. Support of filesystem mounts, UTS, IPC, PIDs, and network stack namespaces for unprivileged users.
4. Memory resource controller accounts for Kernel memory.
5. 3D graphics support using NVIDIA.
6. Advanced vector extension support in Raid6.
7. Windows 8 multi-touch protocol support. 
8. 386 processor support is removed.
9. Improvements in Audio and Video drivers. It supports Philips PSC724 Ultimate Edge sound card.
10. Support for NUMA. Modern machines come with "non uniform memory access" processors. Memory controller
