KDE 4.12.2 and LibreOffice 4.2.0: Gifts on February

Two big projects have released their latest version last week and for Slackware users, be happy that Eric Hameleers have provided Slackware packages for you to enjoy. They are LibreOffice 4.2 and KDE 4.12.2.

LibreOffice 4.2 is a new major version of LibreOffice Suite, offering better performance, better compatibility, and many new features that has been baked by the developers around the world. The Document Foundation has also released Impress Remote for iOS devices on Apple AppStore and you can now use your iDevices to control LibreOffice presentation. Android version has been released along with LibreOffice 4.1.

KDE 4.12.2 is the latest monthly maintenance version of KDE 4.12.x that brings more bug fixes and translations updates, bringing to a more enjoyable desktop available. Please note that there are no kde-workspace release for 4.12 since it has been frozen and the developers are focusing on migrating to KDE Framework 5.
