Lava joins hands with IBM Cloud to escalate Business Operations

To ensure continuous business operations, manage costs and improve overall resiliency, Lava International Ltd. has selected IBM SmartCloud Virtualized Server Recovery (VSR) services.
IBM’s SmartCloud VSR services provide world-class automation and cloud tools to help businesses facilitate quicker recovery time and increase reliability of their server recovery. Lava now has a backup option to support its more than 2,000 internal and external users, including top retailers and distributors in India. Lava has signed a ten-year deal to avail cloud services out of IBM's Bangalore data center. IBM will also perform 24/7 monitoring and management through automation of the hosted infrastructure.

Lava selected IBM due to its reliability, scalability and proven ability to reduce recovery time by up to 40 per cent. Lava is now able to plan for the wide range of issues that could affect operations. In the event of unexpected downtime, Lava can gain 100-per cent functionality within just an hour, a process that is managed remotely. With competing offering this process would have taken 8–12 hours, greatly impacting the ability to meet the around-the-clock needs of customers.
