Nokia will be the preferred provider of Smartphones for CaixaBank with Nokia Lumia
Madrid, Spain and Espoo Finland - Nokia today announced that CaixaBank, a leading financial group in the Spanish market both in banking and insurance, has chosen Nokia as the preferred provider of smartphones for its employees. The agreement includes the purchase of approximately 30,000 Nokia Lumia devices.
The close collaboration between CaixaBank, Nokia, and Microsoft has enabled Nokia and Microsoft to offer valuable technical and creative support in CaixaBank's technological development phase.

Mobile devices are a highly valuable asset in the relationship with customers and the implementation of Nokia Lumia as the preferred device family for CaixaBank employees is a strategic project focused on promoting mobility, adding value both for CaixaBank employees and customers.

Nokia Lumia 925The Nokia Lumia 925 was chosen for a first phase after having been used in various testing programs with the option to upgrade to new Lumia models in the future. A special program for employees will also provide them with the opportunity to acquire Nokia devices for their personal usage, as well as for family and friends.
The Nokia Lumia 925 offers outstanding hardware with its thin and light aluminum structure around a PureMotion HD+ 4.5 inch screen. Its 8.7 megapixel camera with PureView technology and six ZEISS lenses with Optical Image Stabilization provide the highest photo and video quality. Complementing this, the capabilities of the Windows Phone operating system provide security and management levels in line with CaixaBank needs:
- Encryption of information, isolation between applications and embedded anti-malware protection
- Support for new ways of interacting with banking services using NFC (Near Field Communications)
- Seamless integration with common office needs via embedded Microsoft Office and access to Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint and Lync
- The ability to develop a common environment for corporate applications between smartPC and Nokia Lumia smartphones.
