Pitney Bowes kick-starts Accelerator Program in India

In continuation to Pitney Bowes’ Accelerator Programwhere the company will be incubating software start-ups in India, the company recently organized a start-up pitch session, in association withNASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies), premier organization which represents and sets the tone for public policy for the Indian software industry. During the session, each prospective start-up was given the opportunity to present their business development ideas illustrating the project concept and strategy to be a part of the accelerator program. This initiative falls in line with the company’s commitment in connecting and supporting start-ups in India. So far, seven of the top start-ups in the country across location intelligence, cloud computing and navigation industries presented their ideas to the jury.
Manish Choudhary, Vice-President, Worldwide Engineering, Pitney Bowes, said, “We are looking at exceptional entrepreneurs who are building companies for India and global markets, primarily in the location, mobile analytics, data integration and e-commerce space. For those who have groundbreaking ideas to present are free to reach out to us.”
The Pitney Bowes Accelerator Program will begin in June 2014 when the selected start-ups will have unlimited access to Pitney Bowes’ software, application programming interfaces (APIs) and data for the duration of the program. In addition, training, technical and business guidance and mentoring will be provided to the start-ups from Pitney Bowes engineering and innovation leaders, and from software industry experts.
