Gigolo software to easily connect to an FTP server, WebDAV, SSH
Gigolo is a frontend to easily manage connections to local and remote filesystems using GIO/GVfs. It allows you to quickly connect/mount a remote filesystem and manage bookmarks of such.
The developers of the major Linux desktop environments have worked hard in recent years to make it more functional and complete their file manager such as Nautilus, Dolphin, Thunar etc.. Most of the file managers present in Linux also provides an excellent support for accessing files and directories from remote server such as through FTP / SFTP cloud storage services with WebDAV etc..
For users who are having trouble configuring your file manager to remotely access files and directories is available Gigolo open source software that allows us to better manage connections to remote filesystems using GIO / GVfs.
Through Gigolo we can access easily from our file manager and file in the Windows directory by configuring Samba easily, we can also access a server with support for FTP, log in mobile devices through the Obex protocol, also supports switched remotely via SSH / SCP and the ability to operate in cloud storage via WebDAV.
The idea of the project is to simplify Gigolo connect to remote files and directories via a simple and intuitive graphical interface, once configured we can access quickly without having to redo new configurations or more.
