HotShots v2.2.8 Release, Install on Linux Ubuntu / Debian and Mint Using PPA
HotShots is an application for capturing screens and saving them in a variety of image formats as well as adding annotations and graphical data (arrows, lines, texts, ...).
New update for HotShots, one of the best cross-platform software to capture screenshots
HotShots in Ubuntu
HotShots is an open source project that aims to provide a complete manager of the screenshots for Linux, Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac.
Among the main features of HotShots is its ability to capture images of the entire destkop or a window or just a part, has the multi-monitor support as well as being able to customize the keyboard shortcuts. Once you capture the image you can edit it through an excellent editor with which we can resize, crop the screenshot over to include arrows, text, select parts and so on.
Once we processed the image, save it on PC or upload it to our server or sharing service like FreeImageHosting images, Imgur, Imageshack and CanardPC.
The development of HotShots has made the software more and more complete and functional by the excellent integration with any Linux desktop environment.
Note also the best in the connection panel (for Unity we find support for AppIndicator), it also improves the selection "free hand" of the screen.
The preferences of HotShots are also useful options to automatically resize the image post-capture, it also improves the edited image with the ability to process also captured screenshots with other software (simply drag an image into the editor) .
