SiteCake in Ubuntu
We recently saw how we can easily install WordPress, Drupal and Joomla are currently the best known and most used Open Source Content Manager. There are also other interesting open source solutions to easily create a website such as Ghost, or SiteCake, content management system (CMS) open very interesting.
SiteCake is an open source project can provide a simple CMS based on PHP and especially CakePHP also implementing Ajax (via the jQuery framework) that makes it much easier and more intuitive handling of the various content.
Through SiteCake we can create our own website, blog etc with ease since we can work directly for each element of the project through a simple toolbar (which can also move inside the window) with which we will find work in the integration of images , videos, edit text, etc..
SiteCake is an open source CMS that can be easily installed on our web server or we can use a Linux-based Hosting. We can also install from local SiteCake in Linux, Windows and Apple Mac through the Bitnami installer so that you can test and learn how to use the CMS on our PC.
The installer Bitnami for SiteCake is available for Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac from this page, for Linux once the download is finished just move the file in the run home and type in a terminal:
chmod +x bitnami-sitecake-*.runsome after we sent the installer, just confirm the installation and enter the data for future access in SiteCake here and installed the CMS open in our PC.
sudo ./bitnami-sitecake-*.run

Once you have entered all will complete the installation, after installation automatically "SiteCake Bitnami Stack" that will allow us to start the Apache server etc. then access SiteCake from our browser.
If it does not just open the terminal and type:
cd /opt/sitecake-*/once started we can close the terminal.
sudo chmod +x ctlscript.sh
sudo sh ctlscript.sh start
We just have to start our browser and enter the following url: https://127.0.1.1/sitecake/ once you start the default website, just go to the bottom to find the link to log in as administrator of the portal.
