DuckDuckGo joins Google in being censored and blocked in the nation. Google, after years of being throttled by China’s Great Firewall since the web giant turned off its mainland China servers in 2010, was finally blocked totally in June this year.As we known Google already blocked in China, but Bing and Yahoo are still running in china servers but both have bind in the censor their results according to Chinese media laws.
DuckDuckGo code is free software hosted at GitHub under the Perl 5 license, but the core is proprietary.
Censor Monitoring website Great Fire shows the report below that DuckDuckGo.com is 97% blocked in China.
