The Debian developers have announced the release of Beta 2 installer dedicated to the future of the new stable version 8.0 Jessie.

Only a few days to the fateful "freeze" or the freezing of packages, step by which developers will not introduce more news and updates in Debian 8.0 Jessie focusing exclusively on bug fixes. Just this week has landed the Beta 2 of the new Debian Installer 8.0 Jessie, version in development that brings GNOME as the default desktop environment and it includes the new session dedicated to the MATE desktop environment.
Jessie Debian Installer Beta 2 includes support for new architectures and arm64 ppc64e and adds the ability to choose the desktop environment rather than by the syslinux bootloader but tasksel in such a way as to facilitate the selection, even by novice users.
With Debian Installer Jessie Beta 2 are also several improvements on the hardware support from UEFI Secure Boot, correct the image to provide support for booting from PXE Boot the kernel with version kfreebsd.
I want to clarify that we are talking about Debian Installer 8.0 Jessie (Jessie is not Debian 8.0 Beta 2 as reported by some blogs).
