WinFF is an open source, multiplatform and completelty free graphical software that has been designed from the offset as a GUI (Graphical User Interface) front-end for powerful and popular FFmpeg command-line program.
What's New in version 1.1.1
- This release has a new logo and icons.
- It will remember each preset's last destination directory.
- Importing presets from the command line has been fixed.

- Icons have been moved to a folder structure describing their size.

Supported on Linux and Windows
Despite its name, WinFF is fully supported on both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It has been successfully tested with computers supporting either of the 64-bit or 32-bit hardware architectures.
To Install/Update WinFF 1.5.3 on Ubuntu 15.04 vivid Vervet, ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr (LTS), Ubuntu 13.10/13.04/12.04, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Peppermint Five, Deepin 2014, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0, Linux Lite 2.2 and other Ubuntu derivative systems via PPA, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:paul-climbing/ppaInstall WinFF 1.5.3 on Debian 7 "wheezy", Debian 6 "squeeze", Kali linux 1.0.9, Kali Linux 1.0.8 (and old version 1.0.7, 1.0.6, 1.0.5), KNOPPIX, Kanotix, Astra Linux, Blankon Linux 9.0 suroboyo, Blankon Linux 8.0 rote , Blankon Linux 10.0 tambora (upcoming) and old version 7.0, Univention Corporate Server and debian derivative system :
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install winff

The end user can either download the rpm and let the GUI prompt them to install it or more advanced users can do:
yum install http://winff.org/docs/rpm/fedora/winff-repo-1.0-1.noarch.rpmas root, then:
yum install winffor if you want the testing packages (WinFF 1.5.0 does not currently build for Fedora 16 which is now EOL.):
