Availability and key features

It is an enhanced version of the XnView project created and distributed by the same team of developers, but only for the Microsoft Windows platform. It's distributed as DEB archives for Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions, as well as binary files for any other GNU/Linux OS.

While supporting more than 500 image formats, the application allows users to view image files, browse photos, and convert images in batch mode. It supports machines with multiple processors, as well as both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware platforms.
