Pop Singer Akon Announced To Launch Solar Academy To Bring Electricity For 600 Million Africans.
This announcement was made at Second United Nations Sustainable Energy for all forum in New York last week.
It will open this summer in Bamoko, Mali. Also it will prepare African specialists and business visionaries with the abilities expected to build solar power frameworks and miniaturized scale lattices. Preparing hardware and projects will be supplied by European blessed messenger speculators.
This project works under the Solektra International, a partner of Akon Lighting Africa.
Samba Baithily Co-founder of Akon Lighting Africa said that tackling solar energy based vitality is a perfect approach to empower those Africans without power to get it since Africa has 320 days of daylight a year.
“We have the sun and innovative technologies to bring electricity to homes and communities. We now need to consolidate African expertise,” she added.
