Install Gnome 3.16.2 in Linux Ubuntu, Linux Mint [PPA]

GNOME is a complex and sophisticated desktop environment that can be used on any Linux distribution, on top of a window server, such as X11 or Wayland. It is a 100% free and open source project. It can be described in many ways, but the most important things to know when talking about GNOME is that it is usable, accessible, customizable, international, user-friendly, organized, supported, intuitive and very attractive.

Here's what's new in GNOME 3.16.2

Clutter 1.22.0 got some interesting fixes and improvements, Eye of GNOME has received a fix for the Ctrl+W shortcut, Epiphany gets better HiDPI support, GLib 2.44.1 improves the default application algorithm, and support for Bluetooth 2.1 keyboards has been repaired.

In addition, there's better support for Facebook accounts in the GNOME Online Accounts component, a memory leak has been fixed in File-Roller, favorite popover size has been repaired in GNOME Maps, Google album titles are displayed correctly in GNOME Photos, and GNOME Software has received several improvements.

Last but not least, almost all GNOME apps and core components received updated translations. Those of you who use a Linux distribution with the GNOME 3.16 or GNOME 3.16.1 desktop environment should check for updates in the coming days or weeks to receive the GNOME 3.16.2 update. Arch Linux users are the luckiest ones, as GNOME 3.16.2 is already available in the repositories.
