HP announces official split of the company in India
The US technology firm HP (Hewlett-Packard) has announced its split into two separate companies – HP Enterprise and HP Inc. The company has divided its computer and printer business from its corporate hardware and services operations.
According to the latest update, HP’s present Chief Executive Meg Whitman will head both HP Enterprise and HP Inc., and the enterprise segment will house the corporate hardware and services operations.
Rajiv Srivastava, Vice-President & General Manager, PPS, HP India, said that the operational separation is taking place and legal separation will take 17 days on the line.
