Trend Micro OfficeScan Best at Stopping Zero-Day Threats, According to Latest AV-TEST Results

This past summer (July-August 2015), the independent IT-security institute AV-TEST evaluated top endpoint protection products, including Trend Micro™ OfficeScan™.

AV-TEST used real-world test scenarios and real-world threats.

 

 

 

The categories tested were:

Protection – tested how well the product stopped malware infections (including zero-day attacks), such as viruses, worms, Trojan horses, etc. Performance – average influence of the product on computer speed in daily usage (e.g., visiting websites, downloading software, installing and running programs, and copying data) Usability – impact of the security software on the usability of the whole computer (e.g., false warnings, false blockages, etc.)

The great news is that OfficeScan was the only product to receive the top score of “6” points across all three categories of the certification test.
