Guard Your Dropbox Files Against Advanced Malware and the Sharing of Sensitive Data

The way business content is shared is changing dramatically. In the past, files were stored on desktops and file servers and they were typically shared as an email attachment. Organizations are increasingly using File Sync and Share tools like Dropbox for Business to increase the efficiency or their user collaborations and to enable a mobile workforce.

In doing so, businesses have expressed two main concerns about shared content:

1) They don’t want malware entering or migrating through their File Sync and Share service and

2) They do want visibility and control of sharing content with sensitive data.

When we launched Cloud App Security initially supporting Office 365, organizations asked when we could offer the same functionality for Dropbox and other file sharing services.

Today, we are pleased to announce the public preview of the Cloud App Security integration with Dropbox, as part of the Dropbox Partner Network. If you are attending Dropbox Open today, November 4th in San Francisco, visit the Trend Micro booth to learn more.

The public preview of Cloud App Security v3.0 is available on our beta site and we welcome your feedback. Existing Cloud App Security customers will receive this new functionality at no cost when it is released in January.

Trend Micro Cloud App Security provides advanced malware detection enabled by directly integrating with SaaS services using API’s. Cloud App Security also includes data loss prevention (DLP) to give administrators visibility and control of sensitive data sharing. With over 240 built-in and customizable DLP templates, you can easily start monitoring or quarantining the sharing of proprietary or compliance data throughout the world.
