Innovation Leads to Better Protection
Our customers care that we can protect them from new threats that attempt to infect them and their systems. Trend Micro has been doing this since our founding in 1988 and it’s why we continue to be considered one of the top security vendors in the world is through our continuous innovation. As a pure-play security vendor, we continue to invest in our employees and the technology to ensure we stay ahead of the bad guys. Our CEO and co-founder, Eva Chen, continually stresses to us that our competition isn’t Symantec and Intel, but the hackers who are trying to compromise our customer’s networks and computers. A new infographic tells the tale of the many innovative technologies and solutions which we’ve created over the years, many of which were firsts in our industry. From the first ever AV on a chip (Chipaway Virus and note Intel, it isn’t too viable) to most recently our solution for protecting customers using AWS, the infographic will give you a clear understanding that Trend Micro has never stopped acting like a startup in developing new ways to keep our customers protected.
The other factor that customers can rely on with Trend Micro is we have the resources, both in personnel and financially, that allows us to stay on the cutting edge of the threat landscape.
Another area we’ve been investing in is the Trend Micro™ Smart Protection Network™ which we started development of in 2005. By continuously innovating the tools and technologies used within this big data analytics platform, our data scientists have been able to keep up with, or ahead of many of the changes made by hackers in recent years, like Cryptoransomware and targeted attacks. A new whitepaper is now available detailing how the Smart Protection Network generates our global threat intelligence that ensures we keep our promise of a world safe for exchanging digital information.
How effective are we in protecting against new threats? When you look at independent test results from AV-Test’s business client certification test from the past year and a half, Trend Micro’s OfficeScan solution has scored the highest average overall score (out of 18 total points for protection, performance, and usability) compared with our peers.
You can find other similar results for other solutions on our competitive benchmark page. Our customers can trust us to protect them as the threat landscape evolves like we’ve seen over the past 27 years. That’s a promise our history backs up.
