Prevent Windows 10 reboot your laptop to install updates inadvertently

Step 1 – Search Task Scheduler in the windows 10 taskbar.
Step 2 – Browse to the follwoing location path from the left menu.
Task Scheduler Library –> Microsoft –> Windows –> UpdateOrchestrator
Now, Double click on Reboot as shown in the pic below. Click on conditions tab and then uncheck the option which says wake the computer to run this task.

Step 3 – Press windows key + i to reach system control pane.
Step 4 – Click on update & security
Step 5 - Click on Notify to schedule restart
 


Step 5 - In the run dialog box (winkey + R) type "gpedit.msc" (without quotations), hit enter
Navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update
Double click on "No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations"
Enable it and click apply
