Task Coach is an open source, multi-platform and easy-to-use software project that has been designed from the offset to act as a to-do management utility for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows environments.
Easily manage personal tasks and to-do lists
Users can use the Task Coach application to easily manage their personal tasks and to-do lists, while facilitating composite tasks. Task Coach allows them to create, edit and delete tasks, as well as subtasks, view tasks as a list or as a tree, and sort tasks by all task attributes, e.g. budget, budget left, subject, due date, etc.
Tasks have a subject, description, priority, start date, due date, a completion date and an optional reminder. Additionally, tasks can recur on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The application features several filters, which can be used to view only tasks that are due today or to hide completed tasks, or to create tasks by dragging an e-mail message from a supported email client, such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Outlook, Claws Mail, Apple Mail, etc.
Its graphical user interface is clean and straightforward, prompting users with a “Tip of the Day” dialog from the get-go. It is comprised of a main view area, where you can see the current tasks, organized by subject, planned start date or due date, as well as a categories area that displays categories of tasks created by the user. Tasks can be easily imported from CSV and Plain Text, and exported to HTML, CSV, iCalendar and Plain Text.
