Two explosions have rocked Zavantem airport in Brussels. Preliminary reports have claimed that the explosions were in the departure section of the airport and that their have been casualties. This comes just four days after the capture of Salah Abdeslam in Brussels. He was the main suspect of the November Paris attacks. All flights have been halted and rail transport to the airport have been stopped. Further unconfirmed reports claim that one explosion was near the American Airlines check-in area. Niels Caignau, a Swissport employee, told Flemish broadcaster VRT: “I was on a break and heard and felt a big explosion – we have from here a view over the departure hall and saw a plume of smoke come out. “The windows are completely shattered. People went outside in shock. It doesn’t look good.”
