Brussels attack helps Europe understand how Kurds are suffering, says Kurd in Brussels

“Together, we all stand against hatred and terror,” read a slogan by the people of Brussels. 

By singing, lighting candles, and putting flowers, thousand’s from different nationalities came to de la Bourse Square. 

Here has been a main place for those who want to pay their respects to the victims of Brussels’ attacks which killed 31 people and wounded 300 more. 

The EU flag is  flying at half-staff and Brussels is a city in mourning. Belgian police and soldiers are on high alert.

Although people are scared they still come out. 

Many of countries have expresses their support to Belgium after these attacks.

Majid is from Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan). He says he fled ISIS out of fear for his life. 

Flights have been canceled and the airports will remain close until Friday. Nevretheless thousands of people have come to this place at nights and expressed their sympathy through singing. 

There is a saying that you will know who your real friends are during difficult times. Now that Europe has suffered terrorism they understand more clearly what the Kurds have suffered in their war against ISIS.
