Google helps musicians keep a beat with metronome tool directly in search
Google has designed a groovy Easter egg to help musicians keep the beat.
Spotted by the Google Operating System blog, a google search for “metronome” will deliver an interactive metronome – a tool used by musicians to mark time by sounding a steady beat – directly in search results.
Google’s metronome default rate is 120 BPMs, but the full range goes from 40 beats per minute to 208, and can be adjusted using the “-” and “+” buttons on either side of the scale. The color of the metronome UI changes along with the beat.
The metronome Easter egg worked on a desktop search, but didn’t display on mobile.
